Prophet

[1,,4396,prophetes] "one who speaks forth or openly" (see PROPHECY, A), "a proclaimer of a divine message," denoted among the Greeks an interpreter of the oracles of the gods. In the Sept. it is the translation of the word roeh, "a seer;" 1 Sam. 9:9, indicating that the "prophet" was one who had immediate intercourse with God. It also translates the word nabhi, meaning "either one in whom the message from God springs forth" or "one to whom anything is secretly communicated." Hence, in general, "the prophet" was one upon whom the Spirit of God rested, Num. 11:17-29, one, to whom and through whom God speaks, Num. 12:2; Amos 3:7,8. In the case of the OT prophets their messages were very largely the proclamation of the Divine purposes of salvation and glory to be accomplished in the future; the "prophesying" of the NT "prophets" was both a preaching of the Divine counsels of grace already accomplished and the foretelling of the purposes of God in the future.

Segun esto.. .un profeta es uno que tiene contacto directo con Dios, que trae el mensaje divino al pueblo.

Segun el Vine, en el Antiguo Testamento los mensajes de los profetas eran relacionados con los propositos divinos de salvacion y la gloria que habia de ser alcanzada en el futuro.... las profecias de los profetas del nuevo testamento eran tanto la prediacion de los divinos consejos de gracia ya realiados y la declaracion de los propositos de Dios en el futuro...

Hermana.. profeta, del AT o del NT era uno que anunciaba lo que Dios le decia, solo eso. Hoy en dia, en mi opinion y conocimiento, no hay un ministerio profetico como el de aquellos tiempos.

No hay mas declaraciones de Dios directas a una persona para que estas sean trasmitidas a los demas. Esto puede ser una desilusion para algunos, pero es solo mi opinion, basada en lo que conozco de la Escritura.

como digeron yo creo en los 5 ministerios ... no sabemos el ia ni la hora de su venida ...tambien creo k esta todo listo y k en cualkier momento el vendra ... pero tambien creo k aun Dios habla por medio de profesias el sabe como hace las cosas y solo nos keda horar para k se aga su boluntad...

no olvidemos k Dios es el mismo de hayer hoy y por los siglos y esta la promesa k aun en los ultimos dias los niños profetisaran ..... yo creo k eso es una muestra k aun habran profesias ... o no ?

hermano roer garcia! es cierto lo que dices... yo tampoco creo que sea posible que se profetice en estos tiempos... pero ahora hay tantas iglesias que aseguran saber cual es tu destino y esas cosas... me tiene muy confundida este tema....
me gustaria saber más... ah y sobre la imposición de manos... a q se refiere todo eso??

No malinterpreten las escrituras, la funcion del Don de Profecia siempre ha sido la de servir de atalaya (lugar alto) de observacion de los destinos de un pueblo o una persona.
Un profeta es una persona q vive en comunicacion o comunion espiritual con Dios y El puede hablar a traves del Profeta.
Un profeta es aquel que ve las cosas tal como son, sin quitar ni añadir nada a la escencia del mensaje.
Ser instrumento de Dios es una responsabilidad muy alturada y demanda entrega sincera y desinteresada, libre de intereses personales, falsos prejuicios y un profundo conocimiento de la voluntad Divina.
Por lo de si existen profetas hoy en dia, no escucharon decir a Jesus que Dios dijo: " Yo soy el Dios de Abraham, Isaac y Jacob", esto es El es un Dios de vivos no de muertos, negar la existencia de profetas es decir q estan muertos, y si ven la señal de los tiempos, hoy es mas necesaria su presencia que nunca......os ama Willy
